It comes after RHP Ryder Ryan was optioned following the conclusion of yesterday’s game, although it was not officially listed until today.
The move very likely has more to do with getting a fresh arm up for this west coast swing than Ryan’s performance after seeing multiple relievers pitch multiple innings in the four-game set against the Brewers, including a bullpen game in third game that was started by LHP Josh Flemming.
