BOWLING GREEN — From shutting down the program in 2020 to Mid-American Conference champions, Bowling Green State University’s baseball team has had a wild ride the last four years.
The Falcons secured their first outright MAC regular season title since 2009 with an 8-6 victory at Eastern Michigan on Sunday. BGSU (29-18, 21-6 MAC) started a remarkable 17-0 in league play this season.
If not for alumni-backed fundraising efforts to bring the program back, the Falcons wouldn’t be celebrating their current success on the field.
